Quincy Lions Club - We Serve
What We Do

The motto of Lions Clubs International is “We Serve.” The Quincy Lions Club takes this motto seriously, serving both our local community and fulfilling the Lions’ commitment to aiding blind and visually-impaired people throughout the world.

To that end, the Quincy Lions Club holds community fundraisers to raise money for:

  • Eye research: Over $100,000 raised to fund eye research by the nation's leading hospitals and research facilities

  • Eye exams and glasses for local residents

  • Hearing aids and other assistive equipment for those in need

  • College scholarships for local high school seniors

  • Holiday dinners for blind and visually-impaired residents

  • The Quincy Lions Club donated more than $25,000 to the Thomas Crane Public Library to fund the “Vision with a Purpose” Room. Through this donation, the Quincy Lions Club provided the library with special computers and equipment that enable blind and visually impaired persons to access our beautiful library’s many resources.

Quincy Lions also join with our friends and colleagues in the Quincy Rotary, Kiwanis and other service clubs to undertake a variety of community service projects, such as buying and installing smoke detectors in the homes of our senior citizens and supporting the Salvation Army’s annual holiday kettle drive.

Quincy Lions believe that by working together, we can make a difference!
